WRAPPED premiered at Tiger Dublin Fringe 2014 and played at the following theatres in 2015
Nominated for the Stewart Parker Award 2015, one of three finalist for the BBC Audio Awards 2019 and for the Prix Europa Award 2018 (for radio play version), WRAPPED tells the story of two young Dublin women and the choices they make that change their lives forever.
After years caring for her dying Mother Ali finds herself alone and grieving, she meets the enigmatic Lisa, who is trying to dump her useless boyfriend and the two quickly become friends. Trying different ways to make ends meet the two girls end up leaving Ireland and relying one each other more and more. Hilarious and heart breaking we follow Ali and Lisa as they individually make catastrophic decisions that effect each others lives.
WRAPPED’s themes are of an adult nature and include drugs, pregnancy choices, emigration, grief and sexuality.
